Early Evening at Old Mill Point

We were out on the river jetty last night as a family, and I was struck anew at what a truly wonderful spot Old Mill Point can be. Thought I'd share a few photos I took as the sun went down and the moon came up...

More May showers...

The weather today is iffy as the clouds start to roll in, but the rest of the weekend is supposed to be nice. More neighbors have returned to Harwich, and it's nice to bump into familiar faces at the post office and along the roads.

A whole lot of seaweed also showed up this week along our beaches...we'll see what today's storm does with it (hopefully takes it back out to sea!)

April Showers bring May Flowers!

Things are blooming all around Old Mill Point, from the hostas and bushes next to the entrance, to the new sea grass and cattails growing down at the beaches...

The water is sparkling clear at the moment - can the fish be far behind? And yes, the rock on the jetty that the storm dislodged has been shifted back into place... things are looking good...

Coming to the end of another April Vacation Week

It's been a beautiful week on Cape Cod. Not too hot, not too cold, mostly sunshine.

The water has been remarkably calm and clear - hopefully the big fish will be returning to these waters any day now. Mmmm, fresh striper and bluefish.

The neighborhood has been relatively quiet as opposed to recent years during this week. Many people seem to have opted for an even sunnier school vacation this year, considering the ultra-grey winter we all just endured. There were a lot of landscapers and workmen about, though, getting everyone's homes and gardens readied for the coming season.

Summer soon...

Beautiful Spring Weather

The beaches are looking pretty good - although the water is still pretty cold. The sand situation over on the Seaway each side is looking really good - so glad we didn't end up putting a lot of work and money into restoring the beach this spring. Mother Nature did it for us.
