Chatham's "Paint the Town Red" Valentine Celebration

Chatham is trying to "Paint the Town Red" this weekend, in honor of Valentine's Day. Businesses all up and down Main Street will be having special sales, raffles, receptions, open houses and special guests throughout the weekend.

As part of the celebration, I'll be appearing at my very first bookstore signing event - at Where the Sidewalk Ends on the far end of Main Street, selling and signing copies of my latest romantic suspense, PERFECT STRANGERS. The novel is set in Chatham, in the off-season - what a perfect coincidence!

If you're on the Cape, please stop by and say hi between 2-4 p.m. at the bookstore! I look forward to seeing you there!

The Calm before the Storm...

Yesterday the waters in Nantucket Sound were calm in anticipation of yet another coastal storm. While many are getting snow from this storm, here it changed to sleet around 5:30 am and since 6:30 has been a purely rain event here in Old Mill Point.

The last vestiges of hardened snow are slowly melting away... the roads in town are okay, but in surrounding towns are slippery. There's a slight chance it'll change back to snow later, but I'm not holding my breath.

January and a New Year on Cape Cod

While many of you are having more snow today, this week's storm is just rain here on the Cape. But we have had a bit of snow this winter, and I thought I'd add some images of the neighborhood in winter. Just so you know what you're missing...

Brrrr.... December chills

December is here once again, and the winds off the Atlantic are chilling. Yesterday, the wind along the beach was so cold it made my teeth ache to smile.

But the views were beautiful, with the sun sparkling off the water.
