Grey Days at the Shore
The Cape got walloped Thursday, with snow blowing all day long in gusty blizzard-like white-out conditions. Then it was cold - so cold! - all weekend, hovering around the zero mark. Too cold to enjoy the snow at all, which stayed powdery and fine in the freeeze. Too cold to walk the dogs to the beach for a visit. But this latest snowstorm turned to rain here yesterday, and washed away most of the white stuff. Now we have a cold, grey frost covering our beaches and neighborhood and balmy thirty-two degree temperatures. The ocean today sat quietly waiting for something new... the gulls all sat on the jetties, also waiting. As if to see which way the weather will turn next...
