Cape Cod Fog...

... Okay, so perhaps I spoke too soon on Monday, as yesterday and today have proven to be less than stellar. Very Cape Cod weather - fog rolling through, the sun trying to break through only to be doused by another bank of clouds... this morning a thunderstorm rolled into the neighborhood at 6 a.m. and the dampness is still clinging ...

But it should be nice again tomorrow, and beautiful for Friday's cocktail party. Hoping for some golden rays and a beautiful sunset to start the season on a warm note.

So maybe it's not a beach day. But there's still plenty to do around Harwich and the Lower Cape - and they haven't cancelled any of the kids' lessons so onward into July we go!

If you're lucky enough to have taken this week as a vacation week, you're lucky enough. What gorgeous sunshine on the water! Hopefully next weekend looks a lot like today... fingers crossed!

More Rain on the Way?

There was a slight break in the clouds after lots and lots of rain Saturday and Sunday... but they say more rain is on the way. The beach was cleaned on Friday, but alas, I think only the horseshoe crabs were out to enjoy it in the rain this weekend...

Hopefully the rain's all gone by next weekend and the sun is shining once again - fingers crossed!

Hello Again, Summer...

...And suddenly it's summer again on Cape Cod. Welcome, warm weather!

I'm not sure how this blog got away from me over the last few months. Could be the job, or the kids, or the dogs, or some combination thereof. Sorry. I'll try not to let life get in the way again ;-)
