Blizzard-y February

It's been pretty blizzard-y around Old Mill Point, for lack of a more descriptive adjective. The last two weekends have brought very high winds and driving snow into the area and our neighborhood, with downed limbs, trees, flagpoles and wires. Thankfully, Harwich is on the south side and didn't bear the brunt of that first brutal storm, like Brewster and Sandwich did. We were very lucky.

As I type this, the sky is again clouding over, but after a few days of mild temperatures (and Tuesday night's driving rain) the snow has mostly melted and the ground is visible once again.

At the beginning of the month, The Groundhog said Spring was on it's way. However, that Wellfleet Quahog that also predicts the weather said, "More Winter!"

I think the clam might've been right. At least for Cape Cod.
